What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device. It helps the site remember who you are (so you don't log in every page), and what you've set (dark mode, newsletter dismissed, etc.).
What Our Kolkata sets
- Essential: session, CSRF, cookie-consent decision. We can't turn these off.
- Analytics: an anonymous ID so we can tell 100 pageviews from 1 person opening a page 100 times. Opt-in.
- Advertising: impression counting for the ads on the page. We don't follow you to other sites. Opt-in.
How to turn them off
Open the Cookie Settings link in the footer at any time. You can also clear cookies via your browser settings — doing so will log you out and reset your consent.
