Applied AI Engineer

Job Summary

The Applied AI Engineer will design and build AI and agentic infrastructure for Engelhart’s European & Asian Power Trading team. Working closely with trading desks and technology teams, the engineer will deploy and maintain secure AI services on AWS, integrating tools via Lambda and MCP servers. The role involves configuring knowledge bases, building retrieval pipelines, and evaluating cutting‑edge LLM and generative AI frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, and n8n. Responsibilities include orchestrating agent runtimes within Engelhart’s VPC, developing agent skills, and ensuring secure deployment of productivity tools like Microsoft Copilot and Claude Code. The engineer will collaborate with data engineers, architects, and quantitative developers to enhance data‑driven decision making and support the firm’s AI strategy in a regulated environment. The position is a full‑time role requiring strong experience with cloud‑native AI solutions, data engineering, and LLM integration.
