Audit & Accounts Senior

Job Summary

Streets Accountants is seeking a highly experienced Audit & Accounts Senior to join its UK team while working remotely from South Africa. The successful candidate will lead external audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring strict adherence to UK accounting, auditing, and tax standards. Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing audit working papers, financial statements, and supporting schedules, as well as identifying audit risks and executing appropriate procedures. The role also involves preparing year‑end accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders, and assisting with corporation tax computations and returns. The ideal applicant will hold a professional accounting qualification (CA(SA), ACCA, ACA, or equivalent), possess strong external audit experience at a senior level, and demonstrate excellent client‑facing and analytical skills. Experience in accounts preparation and corporation tax is highly desirable but can be trained. Candidates will collaborate closely with UK‑based audit, accounts, and tax teams, mentor junior staff, and manage multiple assignments simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery during peak periods.
