Community Engagement Manager – Data Centers (Indiana & Kentucky)

Job Summary

Anthropic is hiring a Community Engagement Manager to serve as the on‑ground liaison between its data‑center operations and the local communities in Indiana and Kentucky. The role involves building and maintaining trusted relationships with county and municipal officials, community groups, economic development partners, and residents throughout the entire lifecycle of a data‑center project—from site selection and pre‑development to construction and ongoing operations. Key responsibilities include developing a tailored engagement strategy for each market, hosting listening sessions, translating complex technical plans into clear local benefits, and coordinating charitable giving and community investment initiatives. The manager will also collaborate closely with internal teams—real estate, infrastructure, communications, and sustainability—to ensure community input shapes project planning and delivery. The position requires strong coalition‑building, public speaking, and written communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of local government processes and community dynamics. It is a full‑time role based in the United States, with significant travel across Indiana and Kentucky and occasional trips to other data‑center sites.
