Front-End Developer

Job Summary

Edconic, a leading player in alternative experiential education, is hiring a Front‑End Developer to join its web team. The role focuses on building and maintaining public‑facing websites, micro‑sites, and landing pages across multiple WordPress stacks, including modern block‑based builds and classic PHP themes. The developer will collaborate closely with designers, IT, and MarTech to translate UX/UI designs into responsive, SEO‑friendly pages that preserve each brand’s identity. Key responsibilities include creating custom WordPress themes from scratch, working with ACF Blocks, theme.json, and block patterns, and helping migrate existing sites to a modern, standardized stack. The position requires strong skills in semantic HTML, CSS (Sass and native), vanilla JavaScript, PHP, and WordPress. The developer will also contribute to coding standards, tooling, and workflow improvements, while staying current with emerging web standards and accessibility best practices. The role is fully remote within the United States, with occasional travel to the New York office. Candidates should be self‑directed, able to run projects independently, and possess excellent communication skills. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
