High School CTE Teacher

Job Summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking a dedicated High School CTE Teacher to join the Virginia Virtual Academy (VAVA) team. Candidates must hold a valid teaching license with an endorsement in Technology Education or Information Technology, though endorsements in Mathematics, History, Marketing, or other relevant subjects are also welcome. The role is primarily remote, with a strong preference for applicants residing in Virginia, though candidates from Washington, DC and Maryland are considered. The teacher will deliver synchronous and asynchronous instruction to students in a fully online environment, using Stride’s learning management system to track progress, assess performance and support individualized learning plans. Responsibilities include preparing students for high‑stakes standardized tests, maintaining accurate grade books, communicating regularly with parents and learning coaches, and occasionally traveling to school functions or testing events. This full‑time position requires a commitment of 40+ hours per week, an ability to work independently from a professional home office, and a passion for personalized learning. Candidates should be comfortable using digital tools, collaborating with instructional coaches, and adapting lesson plans to meet diverse student needs.
