RAN & Wireless Engineer

Job Summary

The role involves continuous monitoring and management of Radio Access Network (RAN) nodes across 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G and FTTA technologies from vendors such as Nokia, Huawei and Ericsson. Engineers will use tools like U2000, NFMP, NetAct, Taishan, and PRTG to detect, isolate, and resolve service faults, ensuring that alarm responses meet predefined SLA thresholds. Daily responsibilities include traffic rerouting, microwave link capacity upgrades, and node version upgrades, while acting as the first point of contact for transmission faults. The engineer must coordinate with SOC, Transport, Access Transmission, Core, and Backbone teams to maintain seamless network operations, supporting both reactive and planned activities. Candidates should possess at least three years of experience in telecom monitoring, strong knowledge of OSS tools, and the ability to work in a 24/7 environment. Excellent multitasking, prioritization, and crisis‑management skills are essential for handling network emergencies and delivering technical guidance to field teams.
