Senior IP Manager / IP Professional

Job Summary

The Senior IP Manager will oversee a diverse portfolio of over 1,700 patent, trademark and design files across Germany, the EU, the US, China, Japan, Korea, India and other jurisdictions. Working out of Munich, the role involves coordinating with external counsel, inventors, product designers and business teams to ensure timely prosecution, maintenance and strategic alignment of the IP assets. Key responsibilities include managing pending applications, conducting freedom‑to‑operate reviews, supporting IP due diligence and portfolio valuation, monitoring potential infringement, and facilitating licensing and other IP transactions. The position requires a strong technical background and the ability to translate complex legal concepts to cross‑functional stakeholders. Candidates should hold a degree in engineering, physics or computer science, be qualified as a European and/or German Patent Attorney, and have at least five years of experience in IP law, preferably with in‑house exposure to computer‑implemented inventions. Fluency in German and English is mandatory.
