Senior Software Engineer (JavaScript/TypeScript)

Job Summary

Klardaten is looking for 1–2 senior engineers to lead product development and drive integration between the DATEV platform and other software applications. The role is fully remote, with the option to work from Berlin for those based in the EU. You will own the end‑to‑end delivery of new features, from initial requirements to production support, and work closely with the founders to define priorities and scope. As a senior engineer you’ll translate high‑level product goals into concrete, testable requirements, make architectural decisions, and ship reliable code across both frontend and backend. You’ll build and maintain APIs, handle authentication, manage databases, and automate repetitive workflows. The position also involves rigorous testing, deployment, and post‑release debugging to keep the platform stable. Typical responsibilities include designing DATEV integrations, creating automation pipelines, and ensuring the system can reliably handle AI‑generated code and results. Strong TypeScript experience is essential, along with proven ability to deliver production‑grade software without day‑to‑day task guidance. Proficiency in testing, deployment, and troubleshooting in live environments is expected. Ideal candidates have substantial experience in full‑stack TypeScript development, API design, and integration work. Knowledge of C#/.NET and German language skills are a plus but not mandatory.
