Software Engineer – Cloud Services – Rust

Job Summary

Tensordyne AI, a fast‑paced AI systems startup headquartered in Munich and Sunnyvale, is seeking a Software Engineer to build high‑performance, low‑power inference software for its generative AI hardware. The role focuses on designing and developing distributed cloud services in Rust, maintaining in‑house Rust code, and creating APIs that expose generative AI capabilities. The engineer will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate design specifications into production‑ready features, orchestrate agentic workflows, and ensure robust, asynchronous code quality. Knowledge of network protocols such as HTTP, and familiarity with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, will be advantageous. Candidates should have hands‑on experience with modern Rust, an understanding of Rust design patterns (especially async), and a general awareness of cloud infrastructure and agentic toolchains. The position is a full‑time role requiring a strong foundation in distributed systems and a passion for pushing the boundaries of generative AI inference.
