Job Summary

Bjak, a Southeast Asian tech company, is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and delivery of high‑scale products and systems. The role is hands‑on, involving architecture decisions, coding, code reviews, and problem‑solving across backend, frontend, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure. The engineer will translate ambiguous product challenges into clear technical roadmaps, drive quality and reliability improvements, and mentor cross‑team developers. Strong experience in building production systems, system design, and making trade‑offs between speed, scalability, cost, and maintainability is essential. The position is full‑time, hybrid, and expects the candidate to be based in Malaysia.
