Job Summary

Mitre Media is a fast‑growing FinTech company looking for a senior engineer to lead the development of AI‑powered web applications built on Ruby on Rails. The role blends deep expertise in Rails 6‑8 with hands‑on experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into a micro‑services architecture. As a Tech Lead you’ll architect and maintain production‑grade Rails applications, mentor a small team, and shape the overall system design. You’ll work closely with the CTO and product team to deliver user experiences across multiple investment brands, leveraging Hotwire/Stimulus or React for the front‑end and optimizing LLM inference for low latency and cost. The position is remote‑first, based within a ±3‑hour window of Eastern Time, with occasional in‑office collaboration in Toronto or NYC. You’ll have the autonomy to innovate, a chance to influence product strategy, and a competitive compensation package in the range of $170k‑$200k per year.
