Suvendu Adhikari, the chief minister of West Bengal, has amplified his outreach to big business players to bring new investment into the state. In a recent meeting with Mukesh Ambani, head of Reliance Industries, the CM discussed opportunities for collaboration across sectors, including energy, telecom and manufacturing.
Shortly thereafter, the Adani Group announced a visit to West Bengal. Adhikari welcomed the delegation, stressing that the state’s infrastructure projects and tax incentives provide a conducive environment for large‑scale ventures.
The chief minister reiterated the government's commitment to creating a business-friendly climate, highlighting the development of industrial corridors, special economic zones and skill‑development programmes. He said that these measures would not only attract capital but also generate employment for the state's growing workforce.
Adhikari’s outreach aims to position West Bengal as a competitive destination for national and international investors, thereby supporting the state’s economic growth plans.
